Fertility Clinic, London
Diagnostics for subfertility
The Health Equation’s London Fertility Clinic, offers a programme to develop individual holistic treatment strategies for couples with unexplained subfertility (about 30% of all couples who have difficulty conceiving). All couples will initially go through a screening consultation, which will include a case history, interview, blood tests and a comprehensive semen analysis.
Couples will then be invited to attend The Health Equation Fertility Clinic, London, for a diagnostic consultation with Mr Gajadharsingh. During this consultation a full case history will be taken, clinical examinations performed, additional blood samples taken for further tests looking at hormonal profiles and nutritional status, referral for a female trans vaginal pelvic ultrasound and the man’s semen sent for a further analysis (a spermatozoa DNA fragmentation analysis will be done: this assesses the number of healthy versus genetically damaged spermatozoa within an ejaculate).
If the couple is confirmed to have unexplained subfertility, they will be offered a place on The Health Equation clinical programme for subfertility. The treatment strategies may include: osteopathic manual techniques; nutritional advice with nutritional supplements; stress management strategies; breathing re-education and exercise programmes.
All couples will be investigated for cortisol and dehydroepiandosterone (DHEA), adrenal cortex hormones, that are altered by stress.
Who qualifies?
Couples (females aged 25-45 years and males aged 25-50 years) who have been having regular sexual intercourse for the previous 18 months without conception for primary subfertility (never conceived) and 12 months for secondary subfertility (has previously conceived).
Those wishing to take part in the programme will need to download the application form (see below) or call +44 (0)20 7631 1414 or email fertility@thehealthequation.co.uk for more information.
The Health Equation has a team of other clinicians and we will do whatever we can to help couples including referral to conventional assisted conception units offering techniques such as IVF.
The diagnostic and treatment protocol used by Mr Gajadharsingh was developed by him during his postgraduate studies at the University of Westminster where he set up a clinical study “An Integrated Osteopathic Approach to human sub-fertility”.
