Nutritional Supplements

Whilst having a balanced varied diet is the key to good nutrition, this can mean different things to different people and for some people hard to achieve. Depending on clinical need, nutritional supplements can play an important part, in the short term, in helping restore better functional physiology.

Gerry will sometimes suggest nutritional supplementation as part of a patient’s healthcare program.

If this is the case you will receive separately by email Gerry’s nutritional supplement recommendations.

There are many brands of nutritional supplements out there but over the years we have chosen to focus on the following companies.

Solgar this is a very well established brand originally from the USA, and we’ve been recommending Solgar products for 20+ years.

We have for many years, been an official distributor of Solgar products, for our patients. The price we charge tends to be the normal retail price, patients can either pick up their suggested nutritional supplements at the practice or have them posted directly to them.

Biogena, this is another excellent nutritional supplement brand based in Austria.

We have received excellent feedback on one particular product, Mirachol 3 Gold, which contains Monacholin K at 3mg (so not a high dose) from Red Rice Yeast extract, but with the addition of CoQ10 and Boswelia a herb. On the data I have seen from patients, it can help lower cholesterol.
