The Practitioner Team

Three parts to the equation

The Health Equation comprises three professional teams, liaising and exchanging relevant
information where necessary. Naturally, we are all regulated by our respective regulatory
bodies and follow strict professional ethical codes. Each team member carries professional
indemnity/medical malpractice insurance.

The Practitioner Team

Our experienced team receive you in their consulting rooms whether you’re
referred by the Diagnostic Consultant, or if you already have a diagnosis and self-refer. Working
closely with the referring practitioner, we can provide the anticipated length and cost of
treatment for any spell of care. We aim to get you better as quickly as possible, straight forward problems can take between 2-6 treatment sessions on average, complex clinical problems sometimes longer and may involve shared clinical care with others members of the Practitioner Team or Exercise Team, your GP or medical specialist.

“There are Osteopaths……..and then there’s Gerry Gajadharsingh! I had experienced back problems for years and had become totally disillusioned with expensive central London practitioners who charged a fortune for linking me up to a ‘Tens’ machine and then disappeared for 20 minutes to answer their phone messages. Poor to average treatment had been my experience for a long time and far from helping, left me with a feeling of being destined to suffer for life. Then a friend recommended G.G. and my life (and back) changed – not to mention my renewed respect for Osteopathy. This intuitive and caring practitioner brings a deep understanding and intelligence to diagnosing and curing the problem. This doesn’t exactly bring him repeat business because he actually does ‘cure’ the problem and I haven’t needed continuous regular treatment since using him. To illustrate one of my experiences – I suffered from a frozen shoulder which barely responded to the cortisone injections other specialists had administered. I was told nothing could be done other than to wait it out [around 18 months was the prognosis]. This meant I was destined to be in acute pain – wincing every time I moved it – for a year and a half! I went to G.G. who got to work on my painful arm, eventually freeing it up to the stage where I could lift it above my head with no pain. He’d proved everyone wrong as I am proof that a frozen shoulder can be successfully treated – that is – if treated by Gerry Gajadharsingh. Having spent thousands of pounds over the years on other osteopaths, I feel I am qualified to know the difference between indifference and average treatment and GG’s brilliance. He sets a new standard which I wish everyone could enjoy and I cannot recommend him enough.”

Elizabeth Powell, London

“For very many years my husband and I have been treated by Gerry for different types of back problems. Having had previous experience of other osteopaths, physiotherapists and chiropractors, we can wholeheartedly say that Gerry’s work is on a completely different plane. He is quite simply a very gifted, experienced, careful and superb osteopath. After every single visit we have made, improvements are visible in whatever had been causing pain or discomfort. Gerry does not treat people where he feels that another type of treatment or consultation is more appropriate. For that reason he practises in a very safe way. At the first hint of trouble we make sure that we have a consultation with him as we have complete faith in his skills. He is also extremely knowledgeable about many other aspects of both conventional medicine and alternative treatments. We cannot think of any other practitioner that we have more faith in consulting.â€

Rosemary and Tony Yablon, London

“I have been a patient of Gerry Gajadharsingh for close to 20 years. I have the highest regard for his skill as an Osteopath in the diagnosis of my various problems. I am susceptible to occasional bouts of muscle related discomfort and raised levels of inflammation. Gerry has never failed to resolve these problems both completely and speedily often substantially alleviating pain from the very first visit for treatment. I have referred other patients, including my daughter, to him over the years and the feedback I have had has been uniformly glowing in their satisfaction for the help he has given. Not only do I have the highest regard for Gerry as a consummate professional but he has an ease of manner that gives me the confidence and makes me feel completely comfortable in his care.â€

Ms.Yasmina AsseilyMs.Yasmina Asseily DipCNM
Nutritional Therapist

Nutritional therapy is not just about weight loss and post holiday detoxification! Research is increasingly recognising that food has a value which stretches far beyond its caloric figure. Through nutrition and lifestyle choices, we can support all major systems of the body (such as the reproductive, endocrine, nervous, respiratory, immune, cardiovascular systems), with the aim of maintaining optimum health, energy, stable blood sugar levels and psychological wellbeing.

Having obtained an LLB in English and French Law from King’s College London, and a Maitrise in French Law from the Sorbonne in Paris, Yasmina went on to work as a private banker for seven years.  However, from a very young age, she always had a deep-rooted interest in understanding the impact food can have on the body’s health.  She finally decided to convert this passion for food (and eating!) into a career, and graduated as a Nutritional Therapist from the College of Naturopathic Medicine in London, where she now practises full time.  Given her corporate background, Yasmina has a particular understanding of the challenges encountered in an office environment, as well as the importance for setting achievable goals.  She is fluent in English, French and Spanish, and is a member of the Royal Society of Medicine and the British Association for Applied Nutrition and Nutritional Therapy. Yasmina is available on Tuesday afternoons and alternate Wednesday afternoons.
