Mr Matt Langford
Matt qualified from the University College of Osteopaths (formally the British School of Osteopathy), in 2014, receiving an MOst. He came to the profession of Osteopathy after a career in the City in IT. His first degree in Chemical Engineering from U.C.L, provided him with the ideal foundation to tackle complex medical problems. He is inherently analytical which lead him into financial services working in various investment banks in the City until he found his vocation and retrained at the BSO. Structural work (Osteopathic Manual Treatment) came naturally to him and he has furthered this skill set with CPD in fascia, B.L.T. and Cranial-Sacral Osteopathic skills.
He is also qualified in Medical Acupuncture/Dry Needling which he uses as an adjunct for musculoskeletal pain.
He also holds a qualification in Sports Massage Therapy.
He has gained an understanding of the behaviour and psychology of patients from his degree’s specialism, OsteoMAP a clinical approach to chronic pain combining Mindfulness, A.C.T. (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) and Osteopathy as well as a recent CPD in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy that has deepened this awareness.
