Mr. Gerry Gajadharsingh DO – Founder of The Health Equation

Welcome to The Health Equation

Founded by Mr. Gerry Gajadharsingh DO, The Health Equation is a leading healthcare clinic with practices in Harley Street, London, and Alton Barnes, Marlborough, Wiltshire. Gerry is a highly experienced osteopath, with over 38 years of clinical practice.

Graduating from the British School of Osteopathy in 1987 (now part of the Health Sciences University, UCO), Gerry was awarded the prize for Osteopathic Technique and has since built a reputation as a leader in osteopathic care.

Clinical Expertise

Gerry’s expertise comes from decades of collaboration with clinicians across both conventional and complementary medicine. Combined with extensive research and postgraduate education, this has led to the creation of his innovative Integrated Osteopathic Approach—a personalised, evidence-informed system for diagnosing and managing complex health problems.

Diagnostic Consultations

At The Health Equation, Diagnostic Consultations with Gerry typically last 60 minutes and include:

  • Comprehensive medical history review

  • Clinical examination

  • Discussion of next steps, including diagnostic imaging or blood tests if required

  • With patient consent, treatment may begin during the consultation (especially in acute cases)

Following the consultation, Gerry provides a detailed written report, often shared with referring GPs or specialists to ensure continuity of care with your consent.

Treatment Pathways

Depending on complexity:

  • Simple cases → Managed directly by Gerry through osteopathy and tailored interventions

  • Complex cases → Managed through a multidisciplinary approach, including collaboration with other clinicians, referrals to GPs, specialists, or—in some cases—surgical pathways

Gerry ensures that every patient receives the most appropriate level of care, even if that means referral outside The Health Equation.

Professional Registration & Insurance

  • Registered with the General Osteopathic Council (Registration No: 1/441/f)

  • Recognised by most private medical insurance companies (except AXA PPP, BUPA UK, and Vitality)

New Patient Consultations

Diagnostic Consultation – 60 Minutes

All new patients at The Health Equation begin with a Diagnostic Consultation (60 minutes) with Mr. Gerry Gajadharsingh DO.

  • Most of Gerry’s patients have already seen other clinicians and present with complex clinical problems.

  • The consultation includes a comprehensive written report, sent after your visit.

  • Depending on the complexity of your case, treatment may or may not start during this first session.

New Patient Consultation – 45 Minutes (Marlborough Only)

At our Marlborough practice, we also offer a shorter New Patient Consultation (45 minutes).

  • This option suits patients with a simple or discrete musculoskeletal (MSK) problem.

  • It is available at a reduced cost compared to the full Diagnostic Consultation.

  • Please note: this consultation does not include a written report.

✅ Both consultation types ensure you receive tailored care appropriate to the complexity of your health concerns.

I first met Gerry when he treated me for my frozen shoulder. It had been troubling me for 2 years and physio was making it worse. I immediately felt in safe and capable hands. Gerry is a meticulous clinician. He assesses patients in a holistic way that others simply don’t do. Because of this his results are excellent. He goes the extra mile and leaves no stone unturned. I’m very glad that I met him and so are my patients.

Dr Stephanie Goodwin, MBCHB MRCGP DRCOG DOCCMED MIPM, Private Physician

Gerry embodies what science tells us about the very best clinicians…he is professional, he is empathetic, he is patient, he is experienced,  he is knowledgeable and up to date, he is conscientious and persistent, he takes your input seriously and works with you…he is forthright and honest
He holds my highest recommendation for the very best practice that you can completely trust and know you have seen the very best.

Dr Robert Kissner, Lifelogix Inc.

“Gerry has been my family’s Osteopath for the last 16 years. We first went to see him as he was recommended by our doctor (who always recommends the best!) and we weren’t disappointed. We have since called upon Gerry’s expertise for all sorts of problems. Once my 5-year-old daughter (now 20 year old daughter) woke with an acute torticollis- an extremely frozen neck, screaming! In desperation I called Gerry and he saw us at 8am. His sure, experienced touch eased her neck, it seemed miraculous. Recently he diagnosed a slipped disc, after arranging MR Imaging and has put me in the right frame of mind and helped enough that it is getting better, without surgery. When I also mentioned that I always felt tired, he ran some tests to rule out iron deficiency anaemia or thyroid problems and found out that I was magnesium deficient. My asthmatic son has been on his breathing machine (capnometer) to learn how to breathe properly and ease his asthma. Gerry is not just a “back doctor” he is more holistic than this. Over the years he has been brilliant in helping my family and me, relieving our symptoms and making our lives happier. Anyone who finds themself in Gerry’s consulting rooms is lucky! For he will sort them out and then they will have his number for future problems. We can’t recommend him highly enough.”
