Gerry Gajadharsingh DO

Welcome to The Health Equation, a premier healthcare clinic founded by Gerry Gajadharsingh DO, a highly experienced osteopath with over 37 years of clinical practice. Graduating from the University College of Osteopathy (formerly known as the British School of Osteopathy) in 1987, Gerry has established himself as a leader in osteopathic care, now serving patients from his main practice in central London and a satellite clinic in Alton Barnes, Marlborough, Wiltshire.

Gerry’s expertise stems from years of collaboration with esteemed clinicians across conventional and complementary medical disciplines. This rich background, coupled with extensive clinical experience, research, and postgraduate education, has led to the development of his innovative diagnostic and treatment protocol known as the “Integrated Osteopathic Approach.” This approach emphasizes personalized healthcare solutions tailored to individual needs.

At The Health Equation, we understand that health issues are multifaceted and require a comprehensive understanding. Gerry is dedicated to accurately identifying each patient’s concerns and crafting tailored treatment plans accordingly.

Our diagnostic consultations with Gerry typically last 60 minutes, allowing ample time for patients to share their medical history, undergo clinical examinations, and, if necessary, schedule additional tests such as diagnostic imaging or laboratory tests. Treatment may commence during the consultation, particularly for acute conditions, with patient consent.

Depending on the complexity of the problem, treatment pathways vary:

  • Simple cases are managed by Gerry himself.
  • Complex cases may involve a multi-disciplinary approach, potentially including other clinicians or referrals to GPs/specialists.

We prioritize patient well-being and may refer cases outside our practice when necessary, such as for surgery or specialized investigations. With patient permission, we liaise with their GP (NHS or Private) regarding previous investigations or referrals, ensuring continuity of care. After a diagnostic consultation, Gerry often provides a report to the referring physician, maintaining open communication.

Gerry is registered with most private medical insurance companies, except AXA PPP, BUPA UK, and VITALITY.

Professional Registration: The General Osteopathic Council (Registration Number: 1/441/f).

Experience exceptional osteopathic care at The Health Equation, where your health is our priority.

New patients can either book a New Patient Consultation (45 minutes) for a simple/discrete musculoskeletal problem  or a Diagnostic Consultation (60 minutes) for a more complex clinical problem. Please note that the majority of Gerry’s patients have already seen various clinicians and therefore often have complex clinical problems. Depending on the complexity of the situation there may or may not be time during the initial consultation for treatment.

I first met Gerry when he treated me for my frozen shoulder. It had been troubling me for 2 years and physio was making it worse. I immediately felt in safe and capable hands. Gerry is a meticulous clinician. He assesses patients in a holistic way that others simply don’t do. Because of this his results are excellent. He goes the extra mile and leaves no stone unturned. I’m very glad that I met him and so are my patients.

Gerry embodies what science tells us about the very best clinicians…he is professional, he is empathetic, he is patient, he is experienced,  he is knowledgeable and up to date, he is conscientious and persistent, he takes your input seriously and works with you…he is forthright and honest
He holds my highest recommendation for the very best practice that you can completely trust and know you have seen the very best.

Dr Robert Kissner, Lifelogix Inc.

“Gerry has been my family’s Osteopath for the last 16 years. We first went to see him as he was recommended by our doctor (who always recommends the best!) and we weren’t disappointed. We have since called upon Gerry’s expertise for all sorts of problems. Once my 5-year-old daughter (now 20 year old daughter) woke with an acute torticollis- an extremely frozen neck, screaming! In desperation I called Gerry and he saw us at 8am. His sure, experienced touch eased her neck, it seemed miraculous. Recently he diagnosed a slipped disc, after arranging MR Imaging and has put me in the right frame of mind and helped enough that it is getting better, without surgery. When I also mentioned that I always felt tired, he ran some tests to rule out iron deficiency anaemia or thyroid problems and found out that I was magnesium deficient. My asthmatic son has been on his breathing machine (capnometer) to learn how to breathe properly and ease his asthma. Gerry is not just a “back doctor” he is more holistic than this. Over the years he has been brilliant in helping my family and me, relieving our symptoms and making our lives happier. Anyone who finds themself in Gerry’s consulting rooms is lucky! For he will sort them out and then they will have his number for future problems. We can’t recommend him highly enough.”
