The aim of the book is to share the knowledge used at The Health Equation on a daily basis to help the reader make sense of how the body and mind work together. The book also explains current nutritional concepts and explains why changing how we eat coupled with other changes in function can ultimately lead to better health.

“Learning to breathe correctly is a precursor to good digestion and other health benefits. Research suggests that 70% of us do not breathe in an optimal way”.

The book gives great advice not only on foods we should be eating and foods we should be avoiding but also on specific ingredients that can affect our health. The iBook also contains delicious healthy recipes and has videos showing how to prepare them.

Supplements are covered (both in the form of tablets and ingredients) as are exercise, meditation techniques and sleep strategies.

Modern life has much to offer but it also has a set of unique challenges, especially in the area of nutrition. There is so much information and misinformation about which food is good or not so good, that it is difficult for patients yet alone their clinicians to make sense of it all. Our aim initially, was simply to produce a set of videos in an e-book, showing how to prepare and cook tasty and nutritious food based on sound scientific principles with accompanying text, expanding on the principles of why we think that this is simply the best way to eat, in order to enhance health and well-being. However as we developed the e-book we decided that we should really incorporate some of the other ideas that have been developed at The Health Equation and used successfully on many thousands of patients.

The eBook was designed for Apple devices (Mac OS and iOS) running the application iBooks and can be downloaded via the link above which goes to the iTunes book store run by Apple. It is a large file 1.2GB so may take some time to download depending on your internet connection.
