Gerry’s standard consultations last up to 45 minutes. Once you have used the 2 initial Standard consultations under your membership, you can book as many follow-up standard 45 minute consultations as you wish during your membership year and at each appointment you will receive a £50 discount on our published/website fee when you pay for the consultation at the time of your appointment.

If you have an urgent problem please let us know via email (which is always monitored) and we will set up a virtual or phone consultation for Gerry to offer advice as soon as he is able, usually on the same day.

 If you have an urgent clinical problem that needs an in-person consultation, we aim to offer an appointment with Gerry within his next 2 working days in London.

Many people are reactive to their health concerns, which is understandable.They develop symptoms which lead them to seek help, obtain a diagnosis and the right treatment intervention. However increasing numbers of patients are realising that it may pay to be more proactive. The Health Equation provides a comprehensive Private Health Screen.

Private Health Screen

There is no doubt that having a “balanced varied diet” is necessary for good health, but what does this mean? We all have unique metabolisms, so what is balanced and varied for one may not be for another.

Gerry Gajadharsingh lectures extensively in Europe, in Osteopathic Medicine, and was told about Metabolic Balance by some of his German colleagues in 2008.

Metabolic Balance is an innovative nutritional programme set up by Dr Wolf Funfack, a German internal medicine doctor. His company has performed over 1 M programmes world-wide, and are now looking to expand into the UK healthcare market. It is based on sound science, and it fits in with Gerry’s philosophy of treating the patient as an individual.

Metabolic Balance Nutritional Programmes

There are literally thousands of markers that can be tested for using blood samples.
The most common screening test requested is a Haematology/ Biochemistry screen. This measures red blood cells, white blood cells, inflammatory markers, kidney function, liver function, blood glucose, lipid profile, uric acid, calcium, phosphate and iron.

Other markers are requested depending on the clinical picture, such as thyroid function, rheumatology markers, HbA1C, osteoporosis markers, male and female hormonal function, antibodies etc.

Our Preferred laboratory is The Doctors Laboratory (TDL), which we have been using for over 20+ years. They are the leading private pathology laboratory in the UK, and we have received an excellent service from them over the years, including their ability to provide a multitude of different blood tests. All blood samples taken at our clinics, are couriered to The TDL laboratory in London for analysis. Results are received by Encripted Email  directly to us, which we then distribute directly to patients once they are received.

We also use Genova Diagnostics for certain blood tests such as IgG Immunology Food Intolerance profiles 1001.

Blood samples (venesection/phlebotomy) are usually taken during the consultation by Gerry who is also an NHS certified phlebotomist, as part of your membership fee. You can also be sent to patient reception at TDL Wimpole Street, London W1, for example for fasting blood samples or difficult venesections, TDL add an extra charge for this service, £50 (2023) and is NOT part of your membership fee. The TDL phlebotomy charge is an addition to the cost of any blood tests.

Diagnostic Tests
